The Background

Willie Olivas has been competing his whole life, and he learned early that the game isn't over until the last out is called.

He was a blue-chip running back in high school until a shoulder dislocation his senior year changed everything. One door closed, he found another. He switched to baseball, played at Howard College, and his sophomore year his team won the JUCO National Championship. He went on to play at Arkansas State University, then a year of professional ball including a winter season in Mexico. When baseball was done, he didn't stop competing. He played fastpitch softball for years, then picked up running, then cycling, then swimming, eventually putting all three together and finishing Ironman Arizona.

That pattern shows up in everything he does: get knocked down, find the next door, go harder. He lives in Tucson with his wife Roxan and their three kids, two boys and a girl. Faith, family, and the drive to build something worth leaving behind are what fuel everything else.

The Career

After baseball, Willie earned his electrical engineering degree and went to work in the defense industry, designing systems for a missile program. The work was serious and the problems were real, but he always knew it wasn't his final stop.

While in engineering he moonlighted as a realtor. When he left, he started flipping homes, building spec properties, and running construction projects. Then he joined a small personal financial education company as a front-end sales person, eventually moving into client support and building out the AI workflows and automations that brought it all together. That work pulled him back into tech and gave him a clear picture of what AI could actually do for a business that needed it.

For a long time, that exit from the corporate world felt like it might never come. A lot of long nights. A lot of grinding toward something he could see but couldn't quite reach. That feeling is one he understands, and it's the same one a lot of the business owners he works with carry around every day.

He wasn't chasing a career path. He was chasing something he couldn't name yet.

What He Found

Two things happened during his time at the education company that changed everything. He discovered that automation could transform how businesses serve people, and he found a relationship with Jesus that gave all of it a reason.

Lead Favor came out of that intersection. The name started simple: it was about generating leads for clients. But it kept pulling in a different direction. Leading with favor. That felt closer to the truth, and it never let go.
